Bytespoke seeks a Senior Full Stack Developer to design, develop, and operate modern cloud-native applications in the Financial Crime Prevention domain.

The role requires hands-on Java with Spring Boot/Cloud, microservice architectures, and frontend work with React and TypeScript, plus containerized apps with Docker and Kubernetes.

Job description

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Full Stack Developer with extensive experience in designing, developing, and operating modern cloud-native applications within the Financial Crime Prevention (FCP) domain. The consultant should have a proven track record of building scalable, resilient, and secure distributed systems supporting fraud detection, anti-money laundering (AML), sanctions screening, or other financial crime prevention capabilities.

The ideal candidate combines strong software engineering expertise with a deep understanding of enterprise architecture, operational excellence, security, and risk management, ensuring solutions are scalable, maintainable, and compliant with regulatory and organizational requirements.

Required skills and education

Skills

• Strong experience in Java development using modern frameworks such as Spring Boot and Spring Cloud.
• Proven experience designing and developing microservice-based architectures.
• Hands‑on experience with modern frontend development using React and TypeScript.
• Experience developing and operating containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong knowledge of Apache Kafka, including topics, partitions, producers, consumers, Kafka Connect, and event‑driven architectures.
• Experience working with Redis and other in‑memory data platforms for high‑performance, low‑latency applications.
• Experience building RESTful APIs and integrating with enterprise systems.
• Experience working with cloud‑native platforms and CI/CD pipelines.
• Solid understanding of software quality practices, including automated testing, code reviews, and DevSecOps.
• Experience implementing solutions in highly regulated environments with strong security and compliance requirements.
• Knowledge of ITIL processes, including Incident, Problem, Change, and Service Management.
• Experience applying Secure Software Development Lifecycle (SSDLC) principles throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Good understanding of AI‑enabled applications, including integration with machine‑learning models, Generative AI services, and Agentic AI frameworks and orchestration patterns.
• Familiarity with AI agents, Large Language Models (LLMs), retrieval‑augmented generation (RAG), tool/function calling, and secure AI integration within enterprise environments.
• Good understanding of IT Risk Management frameworks, security controls, audit requirements, AI governance, and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with business stakeholders, solution architects, security teams, compliance functions, and cross‑functional engineering teams.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to translate business requirements into robust, scalable technical solutions.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience within banking or financial services.
• Experience with observability tools, logging, monitoring, and performance optimization.
• Experience working in agile product teams.
• Experience building AI‑powered applications using modern frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, Semantic Kernel, or similar Agentic AI orchestration frameworks.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Microsoft Azure, or Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Experience with Infrastructure as GitOps, and modern deployment practices.

The consultant is expected to contribute across the full software development lifecycle, from solution design and implementation to deployment, operations, and continuous improvement, while ensuring that solutions align with enterprise architecture, security standards, operational excellence, and Financial Crime Prevention objectives. The consultant should also be able to identify and implement opportunities where Generative AI and Agentic AI can enhance developer productivity, automation, operational efficiency, and fraud detection capabilities while adhering to enterprise AI governance and security requirements.
