Job summary

Lyten is seeking a Senior Accountant to maintain general ledger integrity and support monthly close processes. You will prepare journal entries, perform reconciliations, and assist with fixed assets and audits. A strong foundation in GAAP/IFRS and ERP systems is essential.

With 2+ years in GL accounting, you will contribute to accurate financial reporting and compliance while working with a forward-thinking team in a growth-stage company focused on innovative materials and energy solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in General Ledger Accounting or Public Accounting.
• Foundational knowledge of US GAAP or IFRS accounting principles.
• Progress toward a CPA or other relevant certification is highly desirable.
• Experience with a major ERP system.
• Experience preparing multi-state or international tax schedules is a plus.
• Strong technical proficiency in accounting and financial reporting.
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, SUMIFS).
• Ability to accurately interpret and apply technical accounting guidance.

• Journal Entries: Prepare, review, and post various journal entries, ensuring appropriate documentation and coding.
• Reconciliations: Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations for assigned accounts (e.g., bank accounts, prepaid expenses, fixed assets).
• Fixed Assets: Manage the fixed asset sub-ledger, including recording additions, disposals, and calculating monthly depreciation.
• Month-End Close: Assist the Accounting Manager in the timely execution of month-end closing procedures.
• Audit Support: Prepare documentation and schedules required for internal and external audit requests.
