Job description

Lyten is leading an industrial revolution through Lyten 3D Graphene™, a breakthrough supermaterial unlocking a new generation of products — from lithium–sulfur batteries and energy storage systems to concrete admixtures, lightweight composites, and next-generation sensors that are revolutionizing industries. Together, these innovations are making a massive global improvement and driving real-world impact across energy, mobility, construction, and defense.

At Lyten, we believe the most meaningful careers begin with purpose — and with people who want to make a difference. We’re not just developing advanced supermaterials — we’re about to change the world as we know it, reshaping how energy is stored, how products are built, and how progress is made.

We’re entering an exciting growth phase, scaling production across the U.S. and Europe and expanding our team of engineers, scientists, and innovators.

Key Responsibilities

In the DevOps/SecOps position your core duties include managing cloud infrastructure with Terraform, embedding security controls in CI/CD pipelines, closely cooperating with Security Operations to monitor active threats, supporting EU CRA compliance obligations like SBOM generation and vendor security vetting.

You will spend your time on hands‑on technical work, collaborating across teams, and on documentation and learning – with the expectation that you will become proficient in a secondary speciality within 12 months while remaining the primary contributor in your core discipline.

  • Demonstrated skills through projects, open-source contributions, or work history
  • Working knowledge of Linux + cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure)
  • Ability to write and read Bash and Go code
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, TLS, DNS)
  • Security awareness (authentication, encryption, OWASP risks)
  • Bachelor’s (minimum) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
Specific skills
DevOps Focus
  • Build, maintain, and optimize build/development pipelines (GitHub Actions)
  • Manage cloud resources via Terraform
  • Configure Prometheus, Grafana, Sentry, or similar tools
  • Implement backup strategies and disaster recovery testing
SecOps Focus
  • Scan, triage, track and remediate CVEs across infrastructure and software
  • Define SIEM alerts, intrusion detection, anomaly detection systems
  • Participate in security incident investigations, containment, and recovery
  • Generate SBOMs, maintain audit logs, support CRA/NIS2/ISO 27001 requirements
  • Coordinate and verify security patch rollout across fleet of devices
  • Vet vendor security posture, review supplier SBOMs, track vendor advisories
  • Embed static and dynamic security testing into CI/CD pipelines
Both tracks
  • Serve as liaison between security team and development groups
  • Attend architecture meetings to provide security/ops input early in lifecycle
  • Maintain runbooks, playbooks, SOPs and CRA technical documentation
  • Participate in 24/7 incident response rotation
  • Conduct training for internal staff and maintain a knowledge base of best practices.
