Polarium Energy Solutions AB in Stockholm (Hagastaden) seeks a Senior Accountant to own daily accounting, month-end closing and statutory reporting within a dynamic, international finance team. You will drive accuracy, ensure compliance with group policies and local regulations, and support ERP system optimization in Microsoft Business Central.

As part of our Finance team, you will play an important role in ensuring accurate accounting, financial reporting and compliance within Polarium Energy Solutions AB. In this role, you will work hands-on with accounting, month-end closing, statutory reporting and related finance processes, while contributing to the continuous development of financial processes and systems. You will collaborate closely with colleagues across Finance and other business functions, supporting the delivery of high-quality financial information and ensuring compliance with group policies and local regulations.
In the role as Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for the accounting operations of Polarium Energy Solutions AB and support accounting-related activities across selected entities within the Polarium Group when needed. You will work closely with colleagues across the Finance function to ensure accurate accounting, timely reporting and compliance with group policies and local regulations.
The role includes day-to-day accounting, month-end closing activities, reconciliations, financial reporting and support with statutory reporting requirements. You will also contribute to continuous improvements of financial processes and systems.
This role is a central function within our Finance team at HQ in Stockholm, located in Hagastaden.
The position reports to the VP Global Accounting.
Execute journal entries, perform account reconciliations and manage daily accounting transactions in accordance with group policies and local requirements. Support ongoing accounting activities within assigned legal entities and contribute to accurate and timely financial information.
Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring that activities are completed accurately and on time. Drive the closing timetable, coordinate inputs from relevant stakeholders, prepare accruals, provisions and other closing entries, and follow up to make sure the close is completed according to plan.
Perform balance sheet reconciliations using Adra Balancer and Task Manager and support internal and external reporting requirements.
Support the preparation of financial statements and reporting packages, assist with balance sheet and profit and loss analysis, and provide supporting documentation for audits and reviews.
Support compliance with local accounting regulations, tax requirements and group accounting policies. Assist with VAT reporting and other recurring statutory reporting requirements and support the preparation of annual reports and other regulatory filings.
Manage transactional activities in the ERP system (Microsoft Business Central), identify opportunities for process efficiency, and support system optimization efforts.
Work closely with colleagues within Finance and other business functions to ensure efficient collaboration and information sharing. Support accounting-related matters across the Group when needed and collaborate with auditors, advisors and external partners.
Provide support to the Accounts Payable function during periods of high workload, absences or other business needs, helping to ensure efficient processing and timely payments.
Support payroll-related accounting entries and reconciliations as part of the regular reporting cycle, in coordination with HR and external payroll providers.
To succeed in the role of Senior Accountant at Polarium, you are detail-oriented, analytical and well organized, with a strong interest in accounting and financial reporting.
You have a proactive mindset and enjoy working in andynamic environment where priorities may change.
You are a strong team player who enjoys collaborating with colleagues and building relationships acrossn functions.
You communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing.
You have a degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field and several years of experience in accounting and financial reporting.
You have experience working with month-end closing, reconciliations and accounting processes.
Experience from an international environment is considered an advantage, as is experience from a manufacturing company.
You are fluent in both Swedish and English, written and spoken.
Experience with Microsoft Business Central is highly valued. Experience with Adra Balancer and Task Manager is considered an advantage.
