Job summary

Billerud Finland Oy is seeking an SAP Development Architect to shape the future SAP landscape within a greenfield transformation. You will define architectural standards, guide engineering teams, and ensure SAP solutions align with enterprise architecture and business goals.

The role blends strategic architecture with technical leadership across SAP S/4HANA, CAP, Fiori/UI5, and ABAP, reporting to the Global SAP Applications Manager. Travel to mills in Sweden is required.

Qualifications

University degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
Several years of experience as a Solution Architect, Development Architect, or Lead Developer within SAP environments.
Experience with SAP S/4HANA implementation programs and transformation initiatives.
Strong expertise in ABAP OO, CDS Views, and the RESTful ABAP Programming Model (RAP).
Experience developing SAP Fiori/UI5 applications and OData services.

Responsibilities

Define and maintain the SAP development architecture roadmap aligned with business and IT strategies.
Design end-to-end solutions across SAP S/4HANA, BTP, and integrated systems.
Establish development frameworks, standards, and best practices including Clean Core and DevOps.
Drive adoption of modern SAP development paradigms (API-first, event-driven, side-by-side extensions).
Own and govern development standards across ABAP, RAP, CDS Views, Fiori/UI5, and CAP.
Provide architectural oversight for SAP programs and guide development teams; support release management and QA.

In this position, you will define development standards, guide engineering teams, and ensure that SAP solutions are aligned with both enterprise architecture principles and businessobjectives.

About the roleAs SAP Development Architect, you will be part of the Global SAP Applications team and work closely with architects, developers, business stakeholders, project teams, and external partners. You will have overall responsibility for the SAP development architecture, supporting both project deliveries and ongoing application development withinBillerud'sSAP ecosystem.

The role combines strategic architecture work with technical leadership and governance. You will drive the adoption of modern SAP development principles and ensure that solutions are designed, developed, and deployed according to established standards and best practices.

You will also playan important rolein supporting deployment processes and enabling successful releases across the SAP landscape.

Your main tasks will be:

Define andmaintainthe SAP development architecture roadmap in alignment with business and IT strategies.
Design end-to-end solutions across SAP S/4HANA, SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), and integrated systems.
Establishdevelopment frameworks, standards, and best practices, including Clean Core principles, extensibility strategies, and DevOps approaches.
Drive adoption of modern SAP development paradigms such as API-first architecture, event-driven solutions, and side-by-side extensions.
Own and govern development standards across technologies including ABAP, RAP, CDS Views, Fiori/UI5, and CAP.
Provide architectural oversight and technical guidance for SAP programs, projects, and development teams.
Support release management, deployment processes, and quality assurance activities across the SAP landscape.

You report to: Manager Global SAP Applications.

While the preferred location for this role is Solna, the position can also be basedinone ofour mills inSweden.Frequenttravel to our Solna office is an essential part of the role.

Qualifications

University degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, ora related field.

Several years of experience ina SolutionArchitect, Development Architect, or Lead Developer role within SAP environments.
Experience from SAP S/4HANA implementation programs and transformation initiatives.
Strongexpertisein ABAP Object-Oriented Programming, CDS Views, and the RESTful ABAP Programming Model (RAP).
Experience developing SAP Fiori/UI5 applications and OData services.
Good knowledge of SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) and its services.
Experience working with SAP integration technologies, APIs, SAP Cloud Integration (CPI), and related middleware solutions.
UnderstandingofClean Core principles and SAP extensibility strategies.
Knowledge of side-by-side and in-app extension approaches.
Experience working with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automation within SAP environments.
Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
