Job summary

Saab is seeking a Sales Director to have product sales responsibility for the Gripen fighter aircraft support. You will work closely with the Gripen marketing organization and within campaign teams on support elements for new customers as well as follow-on contracts for existing customers.

You will lead customer adaptation of Gripen support solutions, ensure competitive offers, secure stakeholder understanding and commitment, and build trust across Saab and with external partners.

Your role

We are looking for a Sales Director to have product sales responsibility for the Gripen fighter aircraft support. You will work closely with the Gripen marketing organization and within the campaign teams you will be responsible for the support elements, both related to new customers as well as follow on contracts for existing customers.

You will have a key role in leading the customer adaptation of the Gripen support solutions and related sales and contract work. Gripen is globally recognized to offer the highest operational availability and the most cost-effective support solution, and you will ensure that we stay ahead of the competition.

Internally you will work closely with stakeholders such as operational units and product management. Externally you will work with governmental procurement organizations, armed forces, government agencies as well as industrial suppliers and partners.

As Sales Director Gripen Support, you will:

• Develop support solutions and lead related sales work within Gripen campaigns.
• Securing competitive offers aligning with customer need and expectations as well as Saab internal requirements and objectives.
• Secure stakeholder understanding, support and commitment.
• Build trust and maintain strong relationships across Saab as well as with externally stakeholders.
• Participate in negotiations, signing, and contract handover activities.

Your profile

The role combines leadership and value creation for commercial and technically complex solutions. This requires ability to understand the details as well as the bigger picture, drive complex processes to build trust, influence decisions and navigate complex environments.

We believe you have senior sales and management experience, where you can develop complex solutions generating profitable business in a global environment. Furthermore you have proven ability to build trust, credibility, and long-term relationships across diverse stakeholder groups.

You have:

• Experience in product and solution development/management
• Good business judgment
• Proposal and contract preparation experience
• Solid technical and commercial understanding

It´s a plus if you have experience from military aircraft operation and support.

This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
