Job summary

Aurora Engineering AB is seeking an experienced Requirements Analyst to plan, lead, and drive requirements activities within business development projects. You will work with stakeholders to translate needs into clear requirements and ensure traceability and quality throughout the lifecycle.

The role may expand to include test management and quality assurance responsibilities. You will collaborate with operations, project managers, developers, and testers in a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading requirements engineering/business analysis in development projects.
• Experience gathering, analyzing, documenting, validating and managing requirements.
• Experience with legal and regulatory requirements in business environments.
• Certification in established requirements or BA methodology (IREB/CBAP or equivalent).
• Hands-on with Azure DevOps or similar tools for requirements/backlog/issue management.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Requirements Analyst to plan, lead, and drive requirements activities within business development projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in requirements engineering, business analysis, and working in regulated environments.

In this role, you will work closely with business stakeholders, operations, project managers, developers, and other key stakeholders to identify and analyze business needs and translate them into clear, structured, testable, and traceable functional and non-functional requirements.

You will play a key role throughout the development lifecycle, ensuring that requirements are well-defined, documented, quality-assured, and aligned with business objectives. Over time, the assignment may also expand to include test management and quality assurance responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and drive requirements activities within business development projects.


• Identify, map, analyze, and document business needs, processes, and stakeholder requirements.


• Translate business needs into clear, structured, and actionable functional and non-functional requirements.


• Ensure requirements are clear, complete, consistent, testable, and traceable throughout the project lifecycle.


• Structure, review, validate, and quality-assure requirements documentation.


• Manage and maintain requirements throughout the development process, including changes, dependencies, and traceability.


• Collaborate closely with business operations, project managers, developers, testers, architects, and other stakeholders.


• Facilitate discussions and workshops to clarify requirements and align stakeholders.


• Identify gaps, risks, dependencies, and potential conflicts within requirements.


• Ensure that legal, regulatory, and business requirements are appropriately incorporated into project deliverables.


• Contribute to quality assurance activities and, where required, support or take responsibility for test management.


• Help establish a structured approach to requirements and ensure alignment between requirements, development, and verification activities.


• Drive requirements-related activities forward in complex organizational and stakeholder environments.

Mandatory Requirements

• Proven experience in leading and driving requirements engineering/business analysis activities within business development projects.


• Strong experience gathering, analyzing, documenting, validating, and managing requirements.


• Experience working with legal and regulatory requirements.


• Professional experience within regulated business environments.


• Certification in an established requirements or business analysis methodology, such as IREB, CBAP, or equivalent.


• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps or equivalent requirements, backlog, and issue management tools.


• Excellent Swedish communication skills, both written and verbal.


• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.


• Ability to create structure, establish priorities, and drive activities forward in complex environments.


• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to understand both detailed requirements and the broader business context.


• Ability to work effectively with stakeholders across different business and technical functions.

Preferred / Meritorious Qualifications

• Experience in test management and quality assurance.


• Experience combining requirements analysis and test management within the same assignment.


• Experience working in large organizations with complex business processes and stakeholder structures.


• Experience from change management and business development projects.


• Experience establishing or improving requirements engineering processes and ways of working.


• Familiarity with Agile, hybrid, or other structured software development methodologies.
