Jobgether in Sweden is seeking a Senior Manager, Application Security to build and lead a dedicated security function in a fully remote tech environment. You will combine hands‑on security with leadership, strategic planning, and cross‑functional collaboration to embed secure practices across engineering teams.

You will guide IT, compliance, and security professionals, scale the program, and represent security to senior leadership and customers.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in security with hands‑on application security experience.
• Proven success building or maturing an app security program with reviews and remediation.
• Strong knowledge of secure software design, OWASP, and vulnerabilities.
• Ability to read code, evaluate architectures, and partner with engineers on fixes.
• 2+ years of people management, guiding practitioners.
• Experience leading security initiatives while staying hands‑on.
• Experience with AI agents and AI‑assisted development or security tools.
• Ability to evaluate AI‑assisted code analysis and automated remediation.
• Strong strategic communication to nontechnical stakeholders.
• Ability to learn quickly and align across app security, IT, and compliance.
• Collaborative leadership to align engineering and business teams.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the application security roadmap, including vulnerability management and remediation.
• Conduct hands‑on reviews, triage vulnerabilities, and improve scalable processes.
• Embed secure development standards and automation in CI/CD pipelines.
• Design an AI‑first security strategy and validate automated testing workflows.
• Partner with engineering to avoid bottlenecks while strengthening security.
• Oversee third‑party and vendor security assessments and governance.
• Establish zero‑trust principles with cloud platform leadership.
• Lead application security incident response and coordinate with IT on incidents.
• Align security with compliance and enterprise risk management.
