Job summary

Jobgether SRL is seeking a Product Engineering Lead in Sweden to guide API and frontend teams building a privacy-focused, peer-to-peer consumer product. You will shape technical strategy, drive high engineering standards, and own architectural decisions.

You will work closely with product leadership, report to the CTO, and have significant autonomy with distributed, local-first technology and AI-assisted development. This role is fully remote with global scope.

Qualifications

• Experience leading software engineers delivering consumer-facing products.
• Strong product sense to distinguish value from complexity.
• Deep knowledge of JavaScript/React and frontend architectures.
• Expertise in distributed and local-first systems (offline-first, eventual consistency).
• Ability to partner with product leaders and guide strategy, not just execution.
• Strong leadership, standards setting, and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead API and frontend engineering teams, remove blockers, maintain momentum.
• Set engineering quality standards for performance, reliability, and maintainability.
• Own API design and the boundary between core and frontend."
• Collaborate with API engineers and other teams on architecture and decisions.
• Partner with Product Managers to translate vision into initiatives.
