Job summary

Aecon Group Inc. in the Caribbean region seeks a Quality Manager for its Civil East sector, based in the U.S. Virgin Islands.

You will develop and implement the Quality Management System (QMS) and ensure conformance to the Project Agreement, coordinating with design, construction, and handover teams. The role leads audits, manages a team of Quality Coordinators, and drives continuous improvement, while maintaining QA records and monthly reports.

Qualifications

• Certified Engineering Technologist or Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering.
• 10+ years in infrastructure or civil construction.
• 5+ years as Quality Manager preferred.
• ISO 9001:2015 internal or lead auditor certification.
• Airport runways, roads and highways construction experience preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Knowledge of Total Quality Management and methodologies.
• Strong communication and writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Primary client contact for quality matters across design, construction, and handover.
• Define organizational chart and responsibilities; train for cross-disciplinary quality.
• Ensure project team understands requirements and follows QA processes.
• Monitor project progress and changes affecting quality.
• Develop and maintain the QMS and PA conformance.
• Lead internal and external quality audits and report findings.
• Prepare monthly QA/QMS reports and retain quality records.
• Plan and maintain the Quality Management Plan (QMP).
• Oversee disposition and corrective action for non-conformances.
