Job summary

Jobtailor in Sweden seeks a Senior Project Manager to lead Wearable Airbag Digital System development across ECUs, software, algorithms, mobile apps, and cloud platforms. You will own end-to-end projects, define scope, milestones, and deliverables, and drive a global integrated plan with multiple stakeholders.

The role requires 5+ years in embedded/mechatronic project management, strong planning, and leadership skills, plus experience with safety-critical products.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in project management of embedded or mechatronic systems.
• Complex system (HW + SW + Cloud) delivery.
• Experience in safety-critical products is a strong asset
• Having launched a product is a big plus
• Solid understanding of embedded ECU development
• Familiarity with V-cycle development, quality and safety processes
• Excellent professional English (written and spoken)
• Strong planning, organization, and leadership skills
• Proven experience managing multi-disciplinary teams and suppliers
• Risk- and delivery-focused, structured, and proactive

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver Wearable Airbag Digital System development projects across the full lifecycle, covering ECU, embedded software, crash detection algorithms, mobile applications, and cloud platforms
• Own end‑to‑end development projects covering ECU, algorithms, mobile applications, and cloud platforms
• Define and control project scope, objectives, milestones, and deliverables across all system components
• Build and maintain the global integrated project plan (hardware + software + cloud), managing dependencies and critical paths
• Manage project budget and resources (internal and external), including software and cloud development capacities
• Anticipate deviations across all domains and drive corrective actions
• Coordinate all technical contributors: System & Electronics Engineering, Embedded Software, Crash detection algorithms, Hardware Design, Mechanical Design, Validation & Test, Industrialization & Manufacturing, Mobile App & cloud
• Ensure end‑to‑end system definition and consistency
• Validate technical trade‑offs in collaboration with the Lead System & Electronics Engineer
• Identify and manage technical, industrial, planning, and supply‑chain risks
• Ensure safety and quality activities are planned and executed
• Manage ECU lifecycle: New generation development, Production support & Continuous improvement
• Provide clear, regular project status reporting to management and stakeholders.

• Having launched a product is a big plus
• Solid understanding of embedded ECU development, system engineering, and electronics/software constraints
• Familiarity with V‑cycle development, quality and safety processes
• Sufficient technical depth to challenge solutions and drive informed trade‑offs
