Job summary

HomeQ is Sweden's largest marketplace for first-hand rental apartments, connecting people with property companies across the country.

We’re a small, ambitious team using an adapted Shape Up process, delivering six-week cycles across Stockholm and Lisbon. As a Product Designer, you’ll own the full design process—from discovery to delivery—working with engineers and product teammates to build intuitive experiences for users and partners.

The team & how we work

At HomeQ, we believe great products are built by small teams with a lot of ownership.

We work with an adapted version of the Shape Up methodology, where small, cross-functional teams typically consist of a product designer, a frontend engineer, and a backend engineer.

Together, you'll take on real user problems, explore solutions, and turn ideas into working products during six-week development cycles.

You won't be handed a detailed list of tasks or told exactly what to design. Instead, we expect you to be curious, challenge assumptions, make decisions, and figure things out together with your team.

Our product and engineering teams work across Stockholm and Lisbon, so collaboration and communication are a natural part of everyday life.

What you'll do

As a Product Designer at HomeQ, you'll have the opportunity to own the entire design process, from understanding a problem to shipping a solution that makes a difference.

You'll:

You'll have plenty of freedom to explore different approaches, experiment with new tools, and influence how we build products.

Who we're looking for

We're looking for a curious problem solver and design generalist who enjoys taking responsibility and turning ideas into reality.

We think you'll thrive here if you:

• Have experience designing digital products and working closely with developers.
• Feel comfortable owning the full design process, from user research to polished interfaces.
• Have strong UX and UI skills and know when to focus on the details and when to keep things simple.
• Are confident using Figma and curious about exploring new tools, technologies, and AI.
• Enjoy understanding why something is a problem before jumping into solutions.
• Can make decisions independently, even when you don't have all the answers.
• Thrive in a small team where everyone contributes beyond their job description.
• Communicate confidently in both Swedish and English.
