Job summary

Quartr AB is seeking a graphic designer to uphold and extend our visual language across long-form articles, posters, charts, and brand assets. You will shape covers, posters, and thumbnails with typography, color, and layout that resonate with finance and tech audiences.

You will work closely with the brand and media team to ensure consistency and high quality. Proficiency in Figma, Paper, and image tools is essential; experience with Midjourney is a plus.

Job description

We are looking for a graphic designer. Not a product designer, not a design engineer. The title is deliberate.

The raw material is words. Transcripts, filings, letters, calls. Finance used to know how to present that kind of material well. Annual reports were objects worth keeping. Prospectuses were typeset with care. Somewhere along the way that respect was lost.

Quartr is built on the bet that those words matter as much as the numbers. Your job is to carry that same care into everything people see of us. Covers, posters, charts, film, print.

You will join the brand and media team inside marketing. Our job is to make sure Quartr is known far beyond the people already using it.

What you will work on

• Edge. Our long-form article series, and the single biggest part of this role. Covers, layouts, and the visual language that carries it.

• Social. Earnings call posters, charts, formats, series. The work that people see whether or not they have heard of us.

• Announcements. New partners, new markets, new products.

• Ordinary Business. Our documentary series, filmed on the floors and sites where companies actually operate. Titles, on-screen graphics, thumbnails.

• The brand itself. It is already in place. It still needs extending, and it needs someone holding the line on it.

What to expect

You hold the visual standard for everything Quartr puts out.

No handoffs to hide behind. If something looks wrong, it is yours to fix. If something looks right, it is because you made it that way.

The bar is high. Quartr is used daily by some of the most sophisticated teams in finance and tech. The work has to hold up in those rooms.

Who you are

• You have taste, and it aligns with ours. That second part matters. Look at what Quartr makes. You should recognize yourself in it.

• A graphic designer first. Typography, composition, color, hierarchy. You know print as well as you know screen, and your work shows it.

• Fluent in the tools we use. We work in Figma and Paper. You should also have experience with Midjourney and other image models.

• You are fast and you commit. You iterate, you ship, and you know when something is done.

• You leave ego at the door. Strong opinions, held loosely. The best idea wins, and it is not always yours.

The other half of the job

You most likely found this on X. That is not an accident, and you should understand why. We want someone who is native to how attention works, who has a feel for what travels and what dies. If you post your own work and people follow you for it, that counts for a lot. Size matters less than the fact that you have done it.

You should care about business. You do not need a finance degree, but you know who Aswath Damodaran and Peter Lynch are, and you have opinions about companies. Ideally you invest yourself. We are a team of nerds about markets and business history, and we hire for it.

Craft is the entry requirement, not the job. We want someone who arrives with ideas. New formats, new campaigns, things that make Quartr punch well above its size.

Nice to have

Experience in B2B SaaS, fintech, or financial services. Photoshop and Illustrator. Motion design in Jitter, After Effects, Rive, or equivalent.

The standard

The ambition is that nothing leaves Quartr by accident.

A mural. A business card. Event signage. A 40-page report. A piece of merch someone actually keeps. The format changes, the care does not.

Quartr is early enough that the standard is still being set. You will set a lot of it.

Design for the archive. Make things people keep.
