Job summary

GlobalLogic is seeking an experienced Senior Android Developer / Product Area Lead & Product Owner to own a key Android product area within the automotive infotainment platform. This hybrid role blends hands-on Android development with platform expertise, product ownership, and leadership across stakeholders.

You will define the product vision, roadmap, and priorities, while guiding the team through complex, long-lived software projects and coordinating with engineers, UX, and management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronics or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of professional experience in Automotive or Android software development.
• Strong experience with Android development using Java/Kotlin and C/C++.
• Strong knowledge of Android AOSP and the AOSP build system.
• Hands-on experience with Android Hardware Abstraction Layer (HAL).
• Experience with tools such as Git, Jenkins, Jira, Artifactory.
• Experience working with requirements, prioritization, planning, or product ownership.
• Valid work permit in Sweden.

Responsibilities

• Take end-to-end ownership of an Android product area within the automotive infotainment system.
• Define and communicate the product vision, goals, roadmap, and priorities with stakeholders.
• Act as a technical leader and subject‑matter expert for Android development within the product area.
• Own and continuously prioritize the product backlog, balancing business value, customer needs, technical debt, quality, risks, dependencies, and delivery commitments.
• Work closely with Product Management, System Architects, UX, developers, testers, and other stakeholders to align priorities.
• Make pragmatic trade-offs between business value, technical feasibility, quality, risk, and delivery timelines.
• Ensure that the team focuses on the most important product and technical outcomes.
• Identify dependencies and coordinate with other product areas and engineering teams.
• Represent the product area in planning, reviews, technical discussions, and decision‑making forums.
• Ensure that product decisions, priorities, and requirements are clearly communicated to the development team.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Android Developer / Product Area Lead & Product Owner to take ownership of an important product area within automotive infotainment platform.
This is a hybrid role combining hands-on Android development, platform expertise, product ownership, technical leadership, and stakeholder management.
The position has a strong Android platform and embedded software focus. You will work across the Android stack, including AOSP, C/C++, Linux, HAL, and the application layer.
As Product Area Lead and Product Owner, you will act as the link between business and product needs and the engineering organization. You will help define the product vision and roadmap, prioritize work, make technical and product decisions, and ensure that the team delivers solutions that provide value to both the customer and the overall product.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronics, or equivalent experience.
