Job summary

Neko Health AB is seeking a Director-level Principal Engineer to build and own the AI engineering platform. You will shape architecture, select agents and tools, and drive end-to-end AI-enabled software across teams while ensuring compliance and auditability.

You will work closely with the Chief Software Officer, make high-stakes technical calls, and influence multiple teams including clinic devices and test rigs. Location options include London, New York, or Stockholm offices.

Responsibilities

• Define and ship the AI engineering platform architecture, including agents and tooling decisions.
• Deliver a golden path for AI-assisted engineering with shared context and guardrails.
• Enable agents to perform end-to-end engineering tasks and code migrations.
• Run agents in sandboxed, auditable environments with data separation.
• Shorten the path from code merge to production for regulated software with compliant pipelines.
• Track and share metrics like PR merge rates and production lead times.
• Tackle the hardest cross-team technical problems across the platform.
