The Division of Fluid Dynamics conducts fundamental and applied research using computational, experimental and theoretical methods. Our research spans turbulence, multiphase flows, turbomachinery, aeroacoustics and emerging aircraft technologies, in a collaborative and international environment with strong links to industry and leading research organisations.
The project explores future aircraft concepts for civil and defence applications, combining conceptual design, multidisciplinary optimization and high-fidelity aerodynamic analysis. Particular attention is given to unconventional configurations, challenges with integrating new fuels such as electric or hydrogen, the integration of emerging technologies at aircraft level and novel propulsion systems.
You will collaborate with leading aerospace researchers across Sweden and with industrial partners to formulate new research questions, evaluate promising concepts and publish results with both scientific relevance and practical value.

The position is a temporary full-time employment for two years with the possibility of a one-year extension.
The position requires physical presence throughout the entire employment. A valid residence permit must be presented by the start date, otherwise the offer may be withdrawn.
