Job summary

Chalmers University of Technology's Division of Fluid Dynamics seeks a postdoctoral researcher to advance multidisciplinary aircraft design and aerodynamics. You will collaborate with leading researchers across Sweden and with industrial partners to explore future aircraft concepts and publish results with scientific and practical value.

The position is temporary full-time for two years with potential extension. A valid residence permit is required.

Qualifications

• A doctoral degree in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, applied mechanics, fluid dynamics or closely related field.
• Proven ability to conduct independent research and publish in peer-reviewed journals.
• Strong written and verbal communication in English.
• Collaborative and scientifically creative mindset to integrate methods from different areas.
• Initiative, curiosity and strong interpersonal skills across disciplines and with industry.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with researchers across Sweden and industrial partners to formulate new research questions and evaluate promising concepts.
• Contribute to multidisciplinary design optimization and high-fidelity aerodynamic analysis.
• Publish results with scientific relevance and practical value in journals and conferences.
