Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg is seeking a postdoctoral researcher to join the energy technology division and contribute to a FlexCSAR project on adsorption-based CO₂ capture.
You will work in a collaborative, dynamic environment and advance experimental and theoretical research on fluidization and gas–solids flow, with opportunities to supervise and teach.
We are looking for a postdoc to join our team at the Division of Energy Technology (Dept. of Environmental and Energy Sciences ). Become part of our research group on fluidization and contribute to impactful research in carbon capture within a collaborative and dynamic environment.
At the Division of Energy Technology , we develop and analyse sustainable energy systems and advance technologies for energy conversion and climate mitigation. Through strong national and international collaboration, we unite experimental and theoretical research to create efficient, low-emission solutions, driving the transition towards carbon-neutrality in the energy and industry sectors.
You will join FlexCSAR, an EU-project aiming to develop a flexible adsorption-based technology for capturing CO₂ from flue gases. Unlike conventional liquid-solvent methods or fixed bed adsorption, FlexCSAR targets a gas-solids fluidized bed system. By being able to flexibly run on low-grade heat in combination with vacuum and heat pumps, FlexCSAR enables optimized operation based on the availability and prices of electricity and heat.
We search for candidates who are curious, collaborative, enjoy working in team, value clear communication, and are interested in carrying out rigorous research and developing their professional skills.
The following experience will strengthen your application:
The postdoc position is a temporary full-time employment for two years with the possibility of a one-year extension.
