Job summary

Permobil is seeking a Platform Sourcing Leader to own end-to-end sourcing for product development teams. You will negotiate with suppliers, manage ramp‑up and ensure cost, quality, and sustainability standards are met across platforms.

You’ll collaborate with cross‑functional squads, drive risk management, and report to sourcing leadership while guiding platform KPIs and post‑launch supplier continuity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, engineering, business or economics or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years’ experience in Strategic Sourcing, Category Management, or equivalent roles in a technology or manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience leading cross-functional projects in product development or industrialization contexts.

Responsibilities

• Lead sourcing activities across assigned product platforms — from supplier scouting, selection, and negotiation to industrial readiness and ramp‑up.
• Act as a core member of cross-functional agile teams, ensuring sourcing and supplier perspectives are integrated into design, validation, and launch decisions.
• Maintain commercial responsibility for sourced components and suppliers for six months post‑launch, including negotiations and supplier performance.
• Define and implement sourcing strategies, including supplier coverage, cost models, and risk profiles with KPIs.
• Ensure full compliance with Group Sourcing policies, supplier quality frameworks, and sustainability requirements.
• Provide regular status updates to sourcing leadership and escalate challenges as needed.

Position Overview

As a Platform Sourcing Leader, you are the engine behind sourcing success in our product development teams. You own the end-to-end sourcing process – selecting suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring every component meets our standards for cost, quality, delivery, and sustainability.

Working closely with cross-functional squads, you drive sourcing activities from project start through launch, proactively managing risks and commercial decisions. You champion structured strategies, transparent reporting, and seamless handovers, all while upholding the highest standards of compliance and collaboration. Your expertise ensures every product launches with a strong, reliable supply base and a clear path to commercial success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead sourcing activities across assigned product platforms — from supplier scouting, selection, and negotiation to industrial readiness and ramp‑up,

• Define and implement sourcing strategies, including supplier coverage, cost models, and risk profiles, while proposing and reporting on platform sourcing KPIs,
• Ensure full compliance with Group Sourcing policies, supplier quality frameworks, and all legal, ethical, and sustainability requirements,
• Provide regular status updates and transparent communication to sourcing leadership, proactively escalating challenges and aligning on priorities.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, engineering, business or economics and/or; equivaltent work experience from strategic sourcing, supply chain or similar positions,
• 5+ years’ experience in Strategic Sourcing, Category Management, or equivalent roles in a technology or manufacturing environment,
• Proven experience leading cross‑functional projects in product development or industrialization contexts.
• Solid knowledge in several of the following areas:
  • Category Management in Sourcing
  • Strategic negotiation and contracting
  • Supplier evaluation, auditing, and development
  • Quality and risk management
  • Lean manufacturing and logistics
  • Supplier relationship management and category management
  • Sustainability and responsible sourcing
