Job summary

McLaughlin Young is seeking a Payment Scheme Relationship Specialist in Sweden to manage relationships with Visa and Mastercard and to stay compliant with evolving regulations. You will translate regulatory changes for internal teams and support product launches and policy updates.

The role requires 3–5 years in card schemes compliance, strong communication, and the ability to operate in a fast‑paced, global fintech environment. Hybrid work with some remote days is offered.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years hands-on experience in card schemes compliance and payment schemes relationships (Visa & Mastercard).
• Strong knowledge of Visa/Mastercard frameworks, mandate cycles, and non‑compliance processes.
• Excellent communication and analytical skills to interpret regulatory content.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact between the company and Visa/Mastercard representatives.
• Monitor and translate Visa/Mastercard regulations and releases for internal teams.
• Build and maintain relationships with Visa/Mastercard and manage inquiries about launches and policy updates.
• Identify and escalate operational risks to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Provide compliance guidance and training to merchants and partners.
• Support sales and customer success with scheme-related queries and high‑risk onboarding.
