Job summary

Purview in Sundbyberg seeks an Agile Product Owner for the Payments domain to drive product strategy and delivery. You will own the backlog, collaborate with developers, testers, UX designers, and risk/compliance teams to ensure compliant, scalable payment solutions.

The role requires deep payments knowledge, experience with API-led fintech stacks, and a data-driven mindset to improve user experiences while reducing costs. Hybrid work and 3 days/week on-site in Sundbyberg are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience with backlog refinement and cross-functional teams.
• Ability to analyze transaction data trends.

Job Description:

Core Competencies

Payment Systems Expertise:

• Deep domain knowledge of domestic payment systems in including:
• Clearing and settlement processes:
• Solid expertise in international cross-border payment systems such as:
• 1 SWIFT messaging standards (MT/MX formats)
• ISO 20022 protocols.
• o Added advantage if you have knowledge on European payment systems / clearings, including:

Agile Mindset & Practices:

• Strong understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe).
• Experience in leading product backlog refinement, sprint planning, and reviews.
• Ability to prioritize and manage product increments based on business value.

2. Functional Skills

• Familiarity with regulatory compliance related to payments:
• PSD2 (Payment Services Directive), AML/KYC requirements.
• Knowledge of reconciliation processes between domestic and global clearing networks.

3. Technical Expertise

• Hands-on experience with modern financial technology stacks and systems used by banks or fintech’s.
• Knowledge of cloud-based technologies supporting scalable payment solutions.
• Understanding APIs for payment initiation and reporting services.

4. Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement

• Proven ability to work with diverse teams including developers, testers, UX designers, etc.
• Collaborating with internal departments like Risk/Compliance teams or external partners like clearinghouses/banks.

5. Analytics & Reporting

• Experience around analyzing transaction data trends for improving user experiences and minimizing costs.
