Job summary

Ericsson’s Patent Unit in Lund is seeking a highly motivated professional to evaluate inventions, prepare and prosecute patent applications, and contribute to licensing and portfolio development.

You will collaborate with inventors, engineers and legal colleagues across countries to manage high-quality assets aligned with business and technology strategies. Experience in patent work and mentoring others is valued, with strong English proficiency and a proactive, learning mindset.

Qualifications

• Experience in evaluating invention disclosures and prosecuting patent applications.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and collaborate across teams and countries.
• Excellent communication skills with engineers, legal professionals and external advisers.
• Experience mentoring or leading projects or teams is an asset.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted patent drafting tools is a plus.
• Proficiency in English, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Identify, assess, and develop patentable inventions with inventors and technical teams.
• Support patent processes from initial evaluation to international filings.
• Draft, file, examine and grant patent applications in cooperation with colleagues and legal entities.
• Contribute to licensing, negotiations, and patent-related matters.
• Lead or coordinate projects and support knowledge sharing within the team.
