Volvo Cars is seeking an experienced Patent Attorney to join our Global IP team in Gothenburg. You will protect and manage our inventions, work with engineering teams, and shape strategic patent portfolios across regions.

Volvo Cars is looking to recruit a Patent Attorney to be part of the Global IP team. You will be working closely with our groundbreaking Engineering teams to protect our inventions, maximise patent value and manage risks effectively. The recruitment is open to both experienced patent attorneys or promising individuals with some years of experience. In this role, you will either support or have the responsibility for all patent matters and strategic oversight for the patent portfolio in your area, depending on your level of experience. This is an opportunity to be part of the team protecting the world’s most complicated consumer product and to work in a truly dynamic and fast‑moving environment.

You will translate IP law principles into actions that deliver business value and tangible benefits and help to drive the strategic IP agenda.
All this includes close cooperation with the Global Intellectual Property team in Sweden, US and in China, as well as the other parts of Group Legal & Corporate Affairs, Engineering, Design, Procurement, and many other parts of the organization and related entities.
