Volvo Cars is seeking an experienced Patent Attorney to join our Global IP team in Gothenburg. You will protect and manage our inventions, work with engineering teams, and shape strategic patent portfolios across regions.

Responsibilities

• Protect inventions by drafting and prosecuting patent applications.
• Develop IP portfolio aligned with technology road maps.
• Advise on licensing and IP-related contracts and risk management.
• Identify and protect inventions in collaboration with inventors.
• Manage external costs and engage high-quality external counsel.
• Counsel on freedom-to-operate and patent strategies.
• Support or oversee patent matters and portfolio strategy.
• Collaborate with Global IP teams across regions.
