Job summary

SpaMedica is seeking an Optical Assistant to join our Cambridge cluster, based at Carlyle House. The role is full-time (37.5 hours/week), four days out of six, from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM, with a salary of £25,000 per year. You will support clinicians in diagnostics and clinics while upholding our safety and care standards.

Qualifications

• Adherence to clinical governance principles is expected.
• Assist in day-to-day clinic operations alongside optometrists.

Responsibilities

• Carry out relevant diagnostic examinations with optometrists.
• Assist in pre- and post-operative clinics for patients.
• Act as theatre runner in a busy theatre environment.
• Be proficient with the Medisoft database.
• Ensure equipment is checked and ready for use and stored correctly.
• Support stock control and maintain par levels.
