Operations Director – Sweden
Location: Sweden, Gothenburg Or Stockholm (Remote/Office-Based)
Hours: Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week
Contract: Permanent
About the Role
- Lead and manage freight forwarding operations across Sweden, ensuring service excellence and operational efficiency.
- Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with DP World’s global objectives.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal standards.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with commercial, finance, and product teams to support business growth.
- Monitor KPIs and operational performance, providing regular reporting to senior leadership.
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate service contracts.
- Support digital transformation and automation initiatives within operations.
- Act as a key escalation point for operational issues and ensure timely resolution.
- Foster a culture of safety, quality, and collaboration across operational teams.
Qualifications
- Proven track record of managing freight forwarding operations and driving operational excellence.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical and decision‑making capabilities.
Experience
- Minimum 10 years in transport, logistics, or freight forwarding, with a focus on operational leadership.
- Experience managing cross‑functional teams and complex logistics networks.
- Strong understanding of regulatory compliance and operational best practices.
