Job summary

Tata Technologies Ltd. is seeking an experienced OBD System Architect to join our team in Gothenburg, Sweden.

The role focuses on leading cross-functional design to deliver compliant, scalable diagnostic solutions and to define the vehicle-level OBD architecture. You will translate regulatory requirements into technical concepts, collaborate with controls engineers, software teams, and homologation specialists, and drive verification strategies to ensure robust diagnostics across the vehicle

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in On-Board Diagnostics (OBD) and vehicle diagnostics.
• Strong background in vehicle system architecture and embedded software development.
• Knowledge of AUTOSAR Diagnostic Event Manager (DEM) and Function Inhibition Manager (FIM).
• Experience with regulatory compliance, homologation, and emissions diagnostics.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional system design activities to create robust, compliant, scalable diagnostic solutions.
• Define and maintain the vehicle-level OBD architecture and system design.
• Translate regulatory and product requirements into technical diagnostic solutions.
• Drive alignment between OBD, Diagnostic Core, control systems, and safety-related functions.
• Define verification and validation strategies to ensure compliance and robustness.
• Identify interfaces, dependencies, and architectural risks across vehicle systems.
