Job summary

Elekta is seeking a Field Service Engineer to ensure performance, reliability, and safety of MR‑Linac solutions across the Nordic region. The role is home-based with frequent travel and prospects to be based in southern Sweden, reporting to the Regional Service Manager.

You will install, maintain, troubleshoot, and support sophisticated medical technology, collaborating with customers and support teams to build strong long‑term relationships and deliver exceptional service.

Qualifications

• Experience in field service, installation, or maintenance engineering.
• Strong troubleshooting across electro‑mechanical systems.
• Excellent English communication; Nordic language knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, upgrade, and maintain Elekta systems with focus on MR‑Linac.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance at customer sites.
• Diagnose and repair complex electro‑mechanical issues down to component level.
• Provide on-site and remote technical support to customers.
• Manage service activities independently with proper escalation when needed.
• Complete service documentation and quality records accurately and on time.
• Adhere to Elekta safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
• Build strong customer relationships through professional support.
• Contribute to continuous service quality improvements and upgrades.
• Keep technical knowledge up-to-date across Elekta portfolio.
• Share knowledge and train colleagues as required.
• Occasionally support weekend service for business-critical needs.
