Job summary

Lund University invites applications for a research engineer role in the Humanities Lab to advance mobile eye-tracking data analysis. You will contribute to hardware installation and tool development to enable flexible, on-the-go study setups across homes, schools, workplaces, and field settings.

Requirements include a PhD in computer science or related field with experience in eye tracking, ML, Python, and open-source tools. Start date 1 January 2027 or by agreement; project runs through 2029.

Qualifications

• PhD in computer science, computer vision, or a closely related field.
• Experience with eye tracking, preferably wearable eye tracking.
• Programming in Python and system/ tool architecture, plus code refactoring.
• Automated analysis of data from wearable eye-tracking systems.
• Developing open-source tools for eye-tracking data analysis.
• Good communication in Swedish or English, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Programming and system architecture for analysis tools.
• Evaluate methods and ensure robustness of implementations.
• Collect evaluation and demo data.
• Author scientific publications.
