Job summary

Viaplay Group in Stockholm is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer to design, train, and deploy ML models for recommendations, predictions, classification, and personalization. You will build scalable data pipelines in a modern cloud environment, collaborating with product, engineering, data science, content, and marketing teams to deliver production-ready AI solutions in a hybrid work setting.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience applying machine learning or data science in production.
• A solid understanding of data, statistics, and core ML algorithms - including how to select and evaluate the right approach.
• Experience taking ML projects from problem definition and experimentation through deployment and monitoring.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL, with experience using Spark or similar data-processing technologies.
• Experience building data pipelines and using orchestration tools such as Airflow.
• Practical experience with or strong curiosity about generative AI, AI agents, and AI-assisted engineering.
• The ability to review and validate AI-generated output rather than treating it as automatically correct.
• Clear communication skills and a collaborative, curious approach to problem-solving.

• Build and maintain scalable data and ML pipelines in a modern cloud environment
• Use AI-assisted, spec-driven workflows to turn clear requirements into tested, production-ready solutions

• Collaborate with product, engineering, data science, content, commercial, and marketing teams
• Monitor models and pipelines to ensure they remain reliable, understandable, and effective.
