Job summary

Capgemini Engineering is hiring for a mechanical/mechatronic engineering role focused on energy transmission. You will contribute to product development in HVDC-related projects and collaborate in an agile setting to meet challenging, innovative requirements.

The position emphasizes teamwork, independent initiative, and applying CAD/PLM expertise to design improvements while supporting multi-disciplinary teams in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• University degree in Mechanical engineering or Mechatronic engineering.
• Knowledge of HVDC systems or plant engineering is a plus.
• Experience with CAD and PLM tools (NX, Teamcenter) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Product development in energy transmission projects.
• Work in an agile environment; HVDC and grid technologies experience is advantageous.

Your role

You will be working with our customers who are world‑leading within the Energy transmission industry.

Responsibilities

• Product development
• Working in an agile environment; it is very advantageous if you have previous experience within HVDC and grid technologies.

Your profile

• University degree within Mechanical engineering, Mechatronic engineering, or a similar field of study
• Knowledge of HVDC Systems; plant engineering would be an asset
• Knowledge in design and development of valves and its components
• Experience of working in CAD and PLM systems (preferably NX and Teamcenter)
• Good knowledge in the production of 3D and 2D materials with associated tolerance setting where producibility, costs and requirements are taken into account
• Ability to work both in a team and independently in a challenging and innovative environment where complex requirements put your skills to the test
