Job summary

Hitachi Energy Ltd. in Sweden is seeking a motivated Mechanical Engineer to join the Local Product Support team for Live Tank Breakers. You will provide hands-on engineering expertise and support internal and external stakeholders with technical solutions.

The role collaborates with factory teams, R&D and Global Product Support to secure high-quality performance and drive improvements. Degree in Mechanical Engineering and CAD proficiency are required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent experience).
• Hands-on mechanical work experience; high-voltage equipment knowledge is a plus.
• CAD proficiency (CREO or similar 3D tools) and ability to produce clear drawings/documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on troubleshooting and technical investigations/testing for complex issues.
• Drive mechanical product improvements to enhance performance, robustness, and manufacturability.
• Create/maintain drawings and technical documentation (test instructions, procedures) to meet quality and compliance needs.
• Collaborate with R&D, Global Product Support, factory teams, customers and suppliers to align, transfer knowledge, and deliver solutions.
