Job summary

MP Solutions Ltd. seeks a highly skilled engineer to support Functional Safety for moving machinery within a Lund-based project. You will help implement safety requirements for Neutron Instrument motion systems and integrate safety controls into the PLC environment.

The role requires an engineering degree, 3+ years in automation, and strong documentation and communication skills. Hungarian citizenship and language fluency are mandatory; relocation from Hungary is provided.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in relevant discipline or equivalent education/experience.
• 3+ years in developing, integrating and commissioning industrial automation systems.
• Experience in verification and validation of industrial automation systems.
• Experience in documenting these systems.
• Knowledge of EN ISO 12100 and 13849; workflow and processes.
• Design of functional safety systems.
• Knowledge of validation of functional safety on moving machinery.
• Knowledge of preparing documentation.

Responsibilities

• Support Functional Safety of Moving Machinery in Neutron Instrument projects.
• Integrate the safety system into the motion control PLC system.
• Contribute to verification and validation activities for automation systems.
• Prepare and maintain necessary documentation and records.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and stakeholders.
• Communicate in English; Hungarian citizenship and language required.

Scope of the Role:

Support the efforts of the Motion Control & Automation Group (MCAG) of implementing Functional Safety of Moving Machinery (Motion Safety) on Neutron Instruments; integrate the respective system into the motion control PLC system.

Requirements

• Engineering degree in relevant engineering discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 3+ years in developing, integrating and commissioning industrial automation systems
• Experience in verification and validation of industrial automation systems
• Experience in documenting these systems
• Evaluation of motion hazards and definition of motion safety requirements according to EN ISO 12100 and 13849; knowledge of the respective processes and workflow
• Design of functional safety systems
• Knowledge of the validation process of functional safety on moving machinery
• Knowledge of preparing the respective documentation
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Excellent oral and written English skills are mandatory
• Hungarian citizenship and fluent Hungarian language skills are mandatory
