Ericsson Research in Sweden is seeking an MSc student in electrical engineering or computer science to help refine simulator models for radio networks. You will work with coding agents to understand existing models, propose simplified mathematical representations, and implement them in the simulator.
You will evaluate accuracy and runtime, document findings, and present results to the team. The role emphasizes strong analytical skills and clear communication in a collaborative environment.
When researching the impact of current and future radio network standards, realistic simulation tools are needed to make technically correct decisions. At Ericsson Research, we extensively use in-house simulator tools with varying levels of details for this purpose. To enable faster simulations for use cases that need less detailed models of radio-related layers, we constantly need to re-evaluate simulator models and produce new models with slightly less accuracy, but faster runtime.
At Ericsson, you´ll have an outstanding opportunity. The chance to use your skills and imagination to push the boundaries of what´s possible. To build solutions never seen before to some of the world’s toughest problems. You´ll be challenged, but you won’t be alone. You´ll be joining a team of diverse innovators, all driven to go beyond the status quo to craft what comes next.
