Job summary

Aurora Engineering AB is seeking an experienced Product Owner for Master Data to own end-to-end capabilities, from vision to distribution across systems. You will translate business needs into a technically implemented MDM/data platform while coordinating with IT and business stakeholders.

The role requires driving data quality, defining domains and ownership, and delivering data-centric product increments in a collaborative environment. A hands-on leader with strong communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Technical Product Owner for data, MDM, or a similar platform.
• Hands-on experience with Master Data Management and the complete end-to-end master data lifecycle.
• Strong understanding of data modelling, master data objects, relationships and data quality.
• Good technical understanding of system architecture, integrations, APIs and data flows.

Responsibilities

• Own the Master Data product vision, strategy, roadmap and backlog.
• Define master data domains, objects, relationships and ownership.
• Identify and structure data sources and master data flows across systems.
• Establish data quality rules, validation processes and quality controls.
• Drive master data from creation and validation through maintenance, updates and distribution.
• Work closely with business stakeholders, architects, developers, data engineers and IT teams.
• Define and drive integrations, APIs and data flows between source and consuming systems.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions and deliverable product increments.
• Establish clear responsibilities and operating processes between business and IT.
• Prioritise the backlog and ensure delivery according to the roadmap.
• Contribute to decisions around MDM platforms, architecture and technical solutions.
• Ensure the implemented Master Data capability is adopted and continuously improved.
