Job Description

We are now looking for an experienced and driven Manager Process Engineering to lead and develop our engineering capabilities in Uppsala. This key leadership role combines technical expertise with people leadership, driving performance, reliability, and continuous improvement of manufacturing equipment in a highly regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop a high‑performing Process Engineering team, creating conditions for people and performance to thrive.
  • Ensure that design, implementation, and continuous improvement of manufacturing equipment and systems align with GMP requirements, regulatory expectations, and business needs while optimizing cost, quality, and performance.
  • Shape how manufacturing equipment and systems are designed and implemented, ensuring compliance and cost efficiency.
  • Drive engineering projects from idea to reality, executing efficiently while balancing quality, timelines, and cost in a regulated environment.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance equipment performance, reliability, and operational efficiency, translating insights into tangible business results.
  • Act as a trusted technical authority, supporting stakeholders across Production, Quality, Maintenance, and external partners for alignment and successful delivery.
  • Manage priorities, resources, and budgets within the engineering area, ensuring effectiveness and sustainability of efforts.
Key Requirements & Qualifications
Must-have
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in process engineering or manufacturing engineering.
  • Proven experience working in a GMP-regulated environment.
  • Demonstrated experience leading engineering or manufacturing teams.
  • Strong experience managing engineering or equipment-related projects.
  • Fluency in English.
Nice-to-have
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical or medical device industry.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing equipment and process optimization.
  • Experience driving technology implementation or transformation initiatives.
  • Experience working with external vendors and suppliers.
  • Experience with budget responsibility and resource planning.
  • Fluency in Swedish.
