Job summary

UNIQLO, based at the Stockholm office, is seeking a Maintenance Manager to cover Sweden and Denmark. You will oversee preventive and reactive maintenance across stores and Head Office, with weekly travel, ensuring safety, performance and operational excellence.

You will collaborate with Store Operations, Facilities, and external providers to deliver high service standards. Fluent Swedish, Danish, and English are essential.

Qualifications

  • 3-4 years’ experience in a maintenance department, ideally within the retail or hospitality.
  • Fluent Swedish, Danish, and English are essential for this role.
  • Air-conditioning and electrician certifications are a strong advantage.
  • Willingness to travel to store locations across Scandinavia weekly.
  • Strong communication, organization, and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage preventive and reactive maintenance across stores and Head Office.
  • Conduct regular store visits to identify issues and drive improvements.
  • Carry out minor repairs and maintenance tasks when required.
  • Resolve maintenance issues quickly and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor and optimise Service Channel and Coupa, including supplier onboarding.
  • Manage maintenance budgets and support cost control initiatives.
  • Oversee relationships with maintenance suppliers and service providers.
  • Ensure compliance with inspections, regulatory requirements, and corrective actions.
  • Act as main contact for insurance claims, landlords, tenants, and contractors.
  • Lead supplier tenders to drive savings and improve service quality.
  • Build strong partnerships with stores and internal teams.
  • Support additional maintenance-related projects as required.

You will be reporting to the EU Maintenance Manager, working closely with internal departments including Store Operations, Facilities, and Office teams, as well as external suppliers and vendors at both a local and European level. You will take ownership of all store and office locations across Sweden and Denmark, ensuring maintenance standards are delivered consistently across the market. As this role requires collaboration with a wide range of stakeholders, strong communication skills and fluency in Swedish, Danish, and English are essential.This is a great opportunity for someone who loves being out in stores, solving problems quickly, and making a real impact on the daily experience of our teams and customers.
