Job summary

Mentimeter is seeking a Localization Operations Specialist to own the localization platform and workflows, ensuring scalable, high-quality localized content across languages. You will collaborate with Content Design, Engineering, Web, Lifecycle Marketing and GTM to shape infrastructure and governance, drive cost-aware language rollouts, and manage partners in a hybrid on-site role at our Stockholm HQ.

We're looking for a Localization Operations Specialist to own the systems, workflows and operational foundations that make this possible at scale.

About the team

You’ll join Experience Foundations, the area helping Mentimeter scale coherent, high-quality product experiences through specialist expertise, standards and reusable foundations.

Today, localization is managed by our Content Design team alongside their core craft. As our international ambitions grow, we need dedicated localization expertise and deeper ownership of the systems behind it.

This role owns how localization works: the platform, pipeline, workflows and quality standards that take content from English source to a high-quality localized experience.

You’ll work closely with Content Design, Engineering, Web, Lifecycle Marketing, GTM and our external language partners.

What you’ll do

• Own our localization platform, Phrase, and our pipeline, configuring workflows and integrations, troubleshooting issues and keeping it healthy
• Build our localization operating model, including workflows, governance, quality gates and approval paths
• Shape the next version of our localization infrastructure with Engineering, starting from what the business needs and designing the workflow around it, covering extraction, sync, integrations and CI/CD
• Raise localization quality through terminology standards, review gates and feedback loops across languages
• Run new language rollouts, owning the operational setup and providing data on cost, quality and complexity
• Manage localization spend and partners, maintaining budget visibility and strong day-to-day vendor relationships
• Be the localization point of contact across Content Design, Engineering, Web, Lifecycle Marketing and GTM
• Build scalable ways of working, so localization standards live in the system rather than with individuals

Who you are

• You have hands-on experience owning localization as a core part of your role
• You've built or significantly improved localization workflows, governance and quality gates
• You're proficient in Phrase, and can configure workflows and integrations and debug a pipeline
• You design workflows from requirements, rather than fitting the process around a tool
• You're technically fluent and comfortable partnering with engineers on integrations, extraction, synchronization and CI/CD workflows
• You take a service-minded and collaborative approach, helping teams navigate localization processes clearly and efficiently, even when managing multiple priorities
• You understand localization quality at scale and know when technically correct translation still doesn't work for the market
• You've supported new language or market launches and understand the operational and cost considerations behind them
• You're comfortable managing language partners and quality standards
• You work well across teams and can establish standards without direct authority
• You think in systems and build processes that scale beyond individual knowledge
• Fluent in written and spoken English (Swedish is not required)
• Proficiency in German, Spanish, Portuguese or French a bonus

Localization at Mentimeter becomes reliable, visible and scalable.

Our pipeline is monitored and surfaces failures. Work passes the right quality gates before reaching language partners. Teams know how to use the localization service without chasing people for answers, and we have clear visibility into spend across languages.

New languages can move from decision to launch faster, giving Mentimeter a stronger foundation for international expansion.

This role is based at our Stockholm headquarters, with a hybrid arrangement of 3 days/week on-site.

Compensation at Mentimeter

At Mentimeter, we believe in fair and transparent compensation that grows with you.
The salary range for this role is 51 000 - 62 000 SEK per month. It’s intentionally broad to reflect the different stages of growth within the role: from early development to deep expertise and meaningful impact.
Where an individual is placed within the range depends on factors such as relevant experience, demonstrated skills, and alignment with the role’s requirements.We’re committed to supporting your growth. You’ll have ongoing development conversations with your manager, and your salary will evolve as you build skills and contribute to our mission.
