About The Opportunity

We are recruiting a Line Manager for the Silicon Network IP Development section in Lund, reporting to the Head of Networks & Compute Acceleration Engineering.

The team is a key contributor to Ericsson's Radio and RAN Compute product development, driving the development of connectivity and digital hardware solutions that enable next-generation products and services. The team's expertise spans micro-architecture, design, implementation, verification, debug, and integration of advanced communication technologies and plays an important role in shaping the future evolution of Ericsson's networking solutions.

As leader of the Lund team, you are expected to coach, mentor, challenge, and develop individuals and cross-functional teams while fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, continuous learning, continuous improvement, and a strong sense of belonging. You will define and execute team strategies aligned with business priorities, secure the long-term development of critical competencies, and create an environment where people can grow, perform, and thrive.

You will work closely with architects, technical leaders, project organizations, and stakeholders across Ericsson's global R&D organization. A key part of the role is establishing strong collaboration with peer line managers and engineering teams across sites to drive successful execution, strengthen engineering excellence, and ensure the organization has the capabilities required to meet current and future business needs.

What You Will Do

  • Ensure teams understand and follow established development processes, engineering practices, and quality standards throughout the complete IP lifecycle.
  • Support development activities throughout the product lifecycle, from early concepts and architecture to deployment and maintenance when required.
  • Enable strong collaboration across development sites, organizations, and technology domains.
  • Work closely with peer line managers across sites to support staffing, competence development, and successful execution.
  • Be accountable for workforce planning, budget management, and capability investments to support successful delivery and long-term organizational growth.
  • Contribute to technology strategy, capability planning, and future evolution across Silicon development.
To be successful in the role you must have
  • Proven leadership experience with a genuine passion for developing people, teams, and organizational capabilities.
  • Experience from R&D organizations. Experience in networking, Ethernet, digital hardware, ASIC, FPGA, SoC, or related technologies is considered a strong advantage.
  • Strong understanding of product development processes, engineering excellence, and agile ways of working.
  • Experience in workforce planning, competence development, and resource management.
  • Experience managing budgets, balancing business priorities, and driving organizational performance.
