Job summary

ASSA ABLOY AB is seeking an Electronics Design Engineer to lead the electronics reference platform powering our connected wireless door locks. You will own the hardware platform from concept through production, guiding multiple teams worldwide and ensuring reliability, manufacturability and long-term lifecycle support.

You’ll work closely with hardware, firmware, quality and product specialists to evolve designs, perform design reviews, and contribute to certification activities while advancing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics Engineering (or similar).
• Hands-on hardware development lifecycle experience: schematic capture, PCB layout, testing and design for manufacture.
• Strong knowledge of embedded electronics and digital interfaces (SPI, I2C and UART) and experience with Altium Designer.
• Understanding EMI/EMC principles; RF/BLE/RFID/NFC or ultra-low-power design is beneficial.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across engineering teams worldwide.

Responsibilities

• Own the electronics reference platform behind wireless lock products from concept through production and lifecycle management.
• Shape a shared hardware foundation enabling multiple development teams across the world.
• Provide technical guidance, design reviews and platform support to engineering teams in multiple countries.
• Perform DFM and prepare documentation for mass production.
• Support hardware verification, production test definition, and product certification activities.
