About the Role

Our client is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Lead Retail Store Manager to oversee their flagship store located in the bustling commercial hub of Centurion, Gauteng . Key Responsibilities

Lead, motivate, and manage a team of retail staff, including sales associates and supervisors, to achieve individual and store objectives. Oversee all day-to-day store operations, ensuring efficiency, compliance with company policies, and adherence to safety standards. Develop and implement strategies to drive store sales, increase customer traffic, and enhance customer loyalty. Manage inventory effectively, including stock levels, ordering, receiving, and visual merchandising to maximize product presentation and minimize stock loss. Recruit, train, and develop store personnel, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous learning. Monitor financial performance, analyze sales data, and implement cost-control measures to ensure profitability. Ensure exceptional customer service standards are met and exceeded, handling customer escalations with professionalism and resolving issues promptly. Maintain store appearance and merchandising standards, ensuring a visually appealing and welcoming shopping environment. Implement and enforce all company policies and procedures, including those related to cash handling, security, and loss prevention. Collaborate with regional management and head office on sales targets, marketing initiatives, and operational improvements specific to the Centurion, Gauteng location.

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in retail management, with a strong track record of success. Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage a team effectively. Demonstrated ability to drive sales growth and achieve challenging targets in a retail environment. Strong operational and P&L management skills, with a good understanding of retail financials. Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills. Experience with inventory management systems and visual merchandising principles. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Proficiency in MS Office Suite and retail management software.
