Job summary

Worldline is seeking a Lead Product Designer in Stockholm to drive design quality, set strategic direction, and mentor a growing team. You will connect business goals with user needs and shape experiences across our payments portfolio.

You will collaborate closely with product management and engineering, lead discovery-to-delivery, and champion user research and design systems. This role requires leadership, empathy, and a strong design portfolio.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in product design, with 2+ years in lead/senior/principal role guiding others.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end product design leadership across complex projects.
• Proven ability to mentor designers and provide actionable feedback.
• Experience partnering with product management and engineering at a strategic level.
• Advanced skills in design tools (Figma) and establishing best practices.
• Strong user research skills and ability to integrate insights into design.
• Excellent English communication, able to influence senior stakeholders.
• Empathy for users and ability to represent needs under business pressure.
• Systems-thinking mindset for navigating complexity across a broad portfolio.
• Collaborative, warm leadership with a bias for inclusive teamwork.
• Experience in B2B SaaS and/or Payments is a plus, not mandatory.
• Online portfolio showcasing work and leadership is preferred.
• Available to work full time.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design direction for key product areas across complex payment solutions.
• Mentor and coach designers to foster craft excellence and constructive critique.
• Partner with product managers and engineering leads to define product strategy and roadmaps.
• Guide projects from discovery through delivery, preserving design intent.
• Facilitate design workshops, sprints, and cross-team alignment sessions.
• Collaborate with Design System experts to ensure consistency and quality.
• Raise the bar on user research and validate designs with real users.
• Explore opportunities with generative and Agentic AI in design work.
• Stay ahead of industry trends and translate them into product strategy.
• Contribute to the growth and inclusive culture of Worldline Design.
