Job summary

Swedbank is seeking a senior leader to own our Swedish payment product portfolio end‑to‑end, from strategy to delivery and measurable business outcomes. This role as Head of Payment Products requires setting direction, driving priorities and ensuring value and regulatory outcomes.

You will lead a team of senior product owners, collaborate across business, IT and external partners, and shape the roadmap for payments including domestic and international payments, Swish, and cash.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading product organisations within financial services (payments experience valued).
• Structured, business-driven approach turning data into decisions and action.
• Ability to prioritise and decide in complex regulated settings under pressure.
• Deliver results in a matrix organisation.
• Experience collaborating with technology in delivery-heavy environments.
• Experience collaborating with external partners and vendors; established network is a plus.
• Excellent communication in Swedish and English, written and spoken.
• Academic degree in engineering, business, or similar.
• As a leader, you are clear, confident, and empathetic; you set direction and accountability.
• Build high-performing teams.

Responsibilities

• Analyse and own decisions regarding direction, priorities, scope, and investments.
• Ensure strong execution across the full product lifecycle – from idea to realised value.
• Be accountable for profitability, cost follow-up, and business outcomes.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and drive regulatory initiatives.
• Own product, regulatory, and operational risks within the domain.
• Build strong collaborations with business, IT, and other key stakeholders.
• Define, evolve, and realize the product strategy and roadmap for the payments domain.
