Job summary

Manatal Tech Team Account (Production) is seeking a Lead Product Designer in Uppsala. The ideal candidate will oversee the UX process and design system, collaborating with teams to ensure outstanding user experiences.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with UX Fundamentals, including user research and interaction design.
• Strong expertise in building Design Systems in Figma or similar tools.
• Demonstrated Leadership skills with experience managing or mentoring design teams.
• Fluent in English; Swedish language skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own and champion the end-to-end UX process, ensuring seamless user experience.
• Develop, scale, and maintain a robust Design System for consistency and quality.
• Provide Leadership within the design team, fostering creativity and growth.
• Collaborate with product managers and engineers to define requirements and priorities.
• Conduct user research and usability testing to iterate designs based on feedback.

Overview:
We are seeking a talented and experiencedLead Product Designerto join our team in Uppsala. As a lead, you will play a pivotal role in driving the design vision, building and maintaining our design system, and elevating our user experience to the next level. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and guide a team of designers to deliver exceptional digital products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own and champion the end-to-endUXprocess, from discovery to delivery, ensuring a seamless and impactful user experience across all touchpoints.
• Develop, scale, and maintain a robustDesign System, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and quality throughout our products.
• Provide strongLeadershipwithin the design team, fostering a culture of creativity, growth, and high performance.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to define requirements, set design priorities, and deliver on business goals.
• Conduct user research, usability testing, and iterate designs based on feedback and data-driven insights.
• Advocate for user-centric solutions and champion design best practices across the organization.
• Mentor junior designers and contribute to talent development within the team.

Core Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience withUX Fundamentals, including user research, interaction design, and usability principles.
• Strong expertise in building and evolvingDesign Systemsin Figma or similar tools.

• Proficient in UI/UX design tools (e.g. Figma, Sketch, Adobe CC).

• Strong portfolio showing end-to-end product design work.
• Bachelors degree in Design, HCI, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
