Job summary
Hitachi Energy Sweden AB seeks a Lead Engineer - Plants for Ludvika to drive technical leadership across Plants and Civil disciplines in onshore/offshore HVDC projects. You will coordinate global engineering teams, define interfaces, and influence key technical decisions to meet customer requirements and project goals.
The role demands 5+ years of engineering leadership, strong HVDC expertise, and fluent English.
Qualifications
- Academic degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil or related).
- At least 5 years engineering experience with leadership of technical teams.
- Experience in HVDC, transmission, substations, offshore wind, or large energy infra.
- Strong technical HVDC understanding and quick learning.
- Fluent English; other languages a plus.
Responsibilities
- Provide strong technical leadership across Plants and Civil engineering interfaces.
- Coordinate engineering activities for tenders and projects with cross‑functional teams.
- Manage technical risks and ensure compliance with quality and safety processes.
- Represent Plants in customer meetings and technical reviews.
- Support installation and commissioning with expert guidance.
