Job summary

Blykalla in Stockholm is seeking a Fluid System Engineer to own one or more SEALER fluid systems from concept through qualification and to define system requirements, design, and integration.

You will lead trade-off studies, coordinate with suppliers, and ensure safety objectives alignment while interfacing with Mechanical, Nuclear, Safety, Test, Quality, and Electrical teams. Fluency in English required, Swedish a plus.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience as a system, process, or fluid engineer on complex power, process, or industrial plants.
• Degree in mechanical, energy, chemical, nuclear, or related engineering.
• Solid working knowledge of applied thermodynamics, thermohydraulics, and heat and mass transfer.
• Working understanding of P&IDs, PFDs, piping and instrumentation conventions, and interface with layout, electrical, and I&C.
• Ability to write clear technical specifications, review supplier deliverables, and manage multi-vendor dialogue.
• Familiarity with applicable industrial codes and standards (ASME, PED, or equivalent).
• Familiarity with CAD tools; comfort scripting in Python or MATLAB is a plus.
• Fluent in English; Swedish language skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own the functional and design requirements, design basis, and system architecture for the fluid systems assigned to you.
• Lead trade-off studies on system configuration and drive design through concept, preliminary, and detailed design phases.
• Define the scope of supporting analyses (thermohydraulic, structural, chemical) and review results.
• Define supplier work packages, evaluate proposals, and manage dialogue with suppliers and partners from concept through qualification.
• Ensure system requirements traceable to plant-level and safety objectives and integration with neighbouring systems.
• Contribute to system-level documentation, chair or participate in design reviews, and maintain plant baseline.
• Support commissioning and testing activities as the plant progresses toward operation.
