Job summary

Axis Communications’ Lund team seeks a Lead Firmware Engineer to set the technical direction for firmware across several product lines, including thermal and explosion-protected cameras. You’ll guide AI-focused work within an embedded Linux environment, collaborating closely with product managers and the engineering manager.

You will drive agile processes, visualize architecture, and help scale the team toward a system-architect role, while staying hands-on with engineering.

Qualifications

Experience as a firmware engineer.
Experience in architecture design and system-level thinking.
Proven technical leadership experience, with or without direct reports.
Proficiency in Swedish and English is a plus.

Responsibilities

Set technical direction for the firmware team and align with product managers.
Lead AI development efforts in a structured, systematic way.
Collaborate with engineers across Axis and drive agile practices.
Visualize and present the intended code architecture and resource needs.
Coordinate firmware work across teams and plan deliveries with AXIS OS releases.
Compile and present delivered features to stakeholders.
