Job summary

PHINIA Sweden AB seeks a senior leader to head the Project Management department, driving strategic planning and delivering multiple engineering projects on time and within budget. You will align site objectives with global standards and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful program outcomes.

This role requires strong leadership, budgeting expertise, and advanced English. You will report to the site leadership team and influence customer communications and product launches.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business administration is required or desired.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a team management and coordination role, with an automotive background.
• Strong understanding of project management planning, methodologies, and best practices.
• Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills; ability to plan and execute projects with timely resource management.
• Excellent communication skills to coordinate cross-functional project teams.
• Proven leadership ability to motivate and inspire teams toward common goals.
• Track record of delivering projects within deadlines and budget constraints.
• Keen analytical skills with a problem-solving mindset.
• Advanced English proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Project Management department.
• Own and manage the department budget.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to develop and implement plans.
• Develop project plans (scope, timeline, cost, resources, risk, quality, communication, procurement).
• Guide overall project timing with the team and ensure timely delivery.
• Conduct regular project team meetings and manage risk escalation and resolution.
• Support customer meetings and participate in functional discussions with customers.
• Lead production activities per change management processes and PDP reviews.
