Job summary

HCLTech in Gothenburg, Sweden, seeks an experienced Crash Safety Analysis Engineer to support occupant protection development for frontal and rear impact. You will plan, execute, and analyze physical crash tests at component, system, and full-vehicle levels to meet safety, regulatory, and performance targets.

The role requires a MSc in a related field, 3+ years in crash testing, strong knowledge of vehicle safety systems, and excellent analytical and communication skills in English.

Qualifications

• MSc in Mechanical, Automotive, Aerospace, or related Engineering field.
• 3+ years of experience in physical crash testing and occupant analysis.
• Strong understanding of vehicle safety systems and occupant protection.
• Experience analyzing crash test data and safety performance.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and lead physical crash tests on component, system, and vehicle level.
• Perform detailed occupant safety analysis from crash test results.
• Evaluate crash performance and recommend design improvements.
• Present findings and technical recommendations to engineering stakeholders.
• Support the development of occupant protection systems and safety concepts.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet safety and project objectives.
