As aLayTechnician,youassist inmanagingdailyoffshorecableinstallationactivitiesandensuresafeoperationofcablelayanddeckequipment.Youworkcloselywithsupervisors,
engineers, andcrewtocarryoutinstallation,maintenance, andmonitoringtasksaccordingtoprojectrequirementsandprocedures. The role includes both operational work and support in maintaining equipment performance and documentation
Yourresponsibilitywillbe to:
•Operateand monitorcablelayequipmentsuchas tensioners andcarousels
•Supportcableloading,spooling, andsubseadeploymentactivities
•Perform basic maintenance and repairs of equipment
•Followoffshoresafetyproceduresandparticipatein riskassessments
•Maintainrecordsofcablelayingprogress andoperationaldata
Thisroleis offshorebasedonrotation periods atsea.Youreportto theLayTechnicianSupervisor andcollaboratewithmultidisciplinaryoffshore teams.
Experienced offshore technician with practical approach
You are a practical, steady person who works carefully in operational settings involving heavy equipment. Youcollaboratewellwithcolleaguesonboardandcommunicateclearlyduringtasks.You remain focused and contribute to safe and efficient daily operations, while supporting coordinated teamwork offshore.
Youalsohave:
•Preferably a TechnicaldiplomaorvocationaltraininginEngineeringor MarineTechnology
•Minimum 5yearsofoffshoreexperienceincablelayingoperations
•Experiencewithcablehandling systemssuchas tensioners andcarousels
•KnowledgeofROV operations,cableburial, anddeckoperations
•Experiencewithriskassessmentsandpermittoworksystems
